Client‑Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) is an Alberta Health Services (AHS) option that allows Home and Community Care clients to take a more active role in managing their own care. Through CDHCI, clients can select a home care agency of their choice, as long as the provider is registered with Alberta Blue Cross to deliver approved services.

Prime Homecare Services is now officially approved by Alberta Health Services (AHS) as a service provider under the Client‑Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) program. This approval authorizes us to deliver flexible, client‑directed home care across Alberta, giving individuals greater choice and control in how their care is arranged.

Services

The CDHCI program covers a range of home care services, as determined by your AHS Case Manager.

• Personal care: help with hygiene (bathing) dressing, grooming
• Home support: light housekeeping, meal preparation
• Nursing care: wound care, medication management
• Palliative care: end‑of‑life support

Eligibility Requirements

• You need an approved assessment from an AHS Case Manager confirming a need for home care services.
• You live in Alberta and hold a valid Alberta Health Care card.
• You require consistent, predictable, long‑term personal care or home support.
• Your care needs must be safely manageable in your home.
• Be able to manage employer responsibilities or have a designated person (e.g. a family member or legal representative) who can do on their behalf.
